Side A
1. Sling Shot 3:25
Side B
1. Peacock Strut 3:50
This is the Lefties' third 45 single and they are taking no prisoners as usual. Peacock Strut" is probably the grooviest groove they have laced so far and is also the official introduction to the Lefties secret "fifth Beatle" Paul. He is rocking the funky cowbell hard on this one and everybody who's seen the Lefties at one of their recent shows will have noticed the man an his flying vee guitar.
"Sling Shot" on the flip side is an old Lefties favourite from the "Dutch Soul Food" promo CD and for the times available on viny. As with all of our 45 singles this is a limited 1.000 copies only pressing.

Olski, May 2005

"Heavy heavy new Euro funk from the Lefties. Stuttering fatback drums pound away laying the foundation for some gut wrenching bass lines, swirling Hammond, clonkin' cowbells and chicken scratch guitar! Nice and rough in the mix but with solid production makes this a proper funk 45 to get your teeth into. The Lefties played for Jelly last summer at The Koola and blew the roof off, if you were there, you shouldn't need much prompting to secure a copy of this baby." - Pete Isaacs (Jelly Jazz, Plymouth)
