Le Scratchfunk are Sticky Dojah (pic. right), a skilled and experienced DJ from Aachen, Germany and studio wizard Alex "Axt" Jakobi who also lives in the city close to the Dutch and Belgian boder.
Born and raised in the former "DDR", Sticky D's collection of Eastern European breaks is what we call deep. Behind the decks he combines the best of both worlds: half turntablist/half party rocker, there is no parking on the dancefloor when Sticky drops one of his trademark hip-hop/funk/breaks sets. From local clubs in Aachen and Maastricht (NL) to the Wagenbau in Hamburg and the Hip-Hop-Kemp in Czech, the Dojah can't be stopped. In Le Scratchfunk he is the one who provides the breaks and the funky dope manouvers (and cuts off course) while the Axt is rocking the MPC and studio. Axt is classical trained lab rat who doesn't think twice once he is in the zone. As an in demand producer and engineer he has chopped tons of beats and recorded endless bands in his Axtrak audiolab near the Dutch mountains. Solid Steel digs Le Scratchfunk myspace |
